Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Sr. Associate Product Manager (Sr. APM), to join our Product Management organization and work on the EZLynx Agency Management System. We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record for managing and implementing multiple projects concurrently is a dynamic environment.  As Sr. APM, you will handle research, analysis, and documentation of business requirements, user stories, use cases, user interfaces, defect management, and other product lifecycle specifications. Additionally, you will work as a liaison among stakeholders to understand the structures, policies, and operations as well as work cross-functionally with product engineering, quality assurance, business operations, and external stakeholders to build customer-facing solutions for the insurance industry.    What You'll Do - Manage SDLC concurrently for projects across multiple engineering teams - Research and compile internal and external requirements from sources such as stakeholder interviews, surveys, requirements workshops, and related opportunities - Evaluate and prioritize information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, converts information from high-level business issues and opportunities into detailed functional requirements - Generate and recommend the most appropriate business process flows from the analysis of user tasks and workflows - Write user stories, use cases, scenarios, reports, business cases, and user manuals resulting from the business process flows - Draw and test for usability concepts such as mockups of user interface designs - Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs - Act as the liaison between the customer community (external and internal customers), the software development team, customer support, and product marketing - Create, update, and maintain enterprise-wide requirements documentation - Construct executive summaries detailing the status of your project and present them to internal and external stakeholders - Conduct bi-weekly sprint reviews, and any ad hock meetings, to provide the status of your assigned custom development projects.   What You’ll Need to Succeed  We’re looking for someone who:  - Can work on a Hybrid schedule in our Lewisville, TX office   Your experience should include some or all of the following:  - 3-5 years of Scrum focused Product experience - Complete understanding of all Scrum ceremonies - Able to confidently run backlog refinements and sprint reviews - Strong understanding of the SDLC and the Product Lifecycle components - Proven track record of successfully completing large-scale development projects - Able to manage multiple projects spanning one or more development teams - Great communication skills (oral and written) - Able to negotiate deliverables for conflicting interests - Strong client service skills - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of Information Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines. - We proudly support and encourage people with military experience, as well as military spouses, to apply   Additionally, you may have:    - PSPO I, PSPO II, or other Product Owner certification is a plus - Familiarity with the US personal insurance markets and insurance agency processes   What You’ll Gain    Benefits from Day One  - Health insurance plans, dental, and vision  - Wellness incentives  - 401(k) and/or RRSP retirement savings plans with employer match    Work-Life Balance  - Competitive paid vacation time and a free day for your birthday  - Personal/sick time  - Paid holidays  - Flex Time  - Paid parental leave (U.S. candidates)  - Volunteer time off    Empowering Career Growth and Success – We invest in talent, care about our people and are empowered by the results of our work.
