Junior Developer
We are seeking a web application Developer to join our newly established engineering team. The successful candidate will play an instrumental role in designing, developing, and maintaining high quality software, whilst liaising with the management and testing colleagues.
Technology:
- VB.net, C#, ASP.net Forms, AJAX
- Basic knowledge of Web API
- Basic knowledge of Javascript / JQuery
- Version Control: Azure Devops with git/TFS
- Good to have.
- ORM: LINQ to SQL with ADO.net

- Telerik – Charts
- Telerik Web UI
- Restsharp
- Software Development:
- Develop high-quality software, based on provided requirements and specifications,
- Code principally in VB.net in an asp.net webform project,
- Collaborate with your manager and colleagues to ensure alignment with project objectives,
- Take guidance from senior engineering colleagues,
- Debug, test, and optimise your code to ensure performance, robustness, and understandability,
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the testing team to ensure software quality,
- Actively participate in team meetings, sharing insights and suggestions,
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices,
- Stay updated with, and contribute to, Riskhandler’s coding standards, making sure that you adhere to those standards.
- Documentation:
- When requested, document software solutions for better understanding and future reference,
- Provide clear and dependable responses to your manager regarding project progress and challenges.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology (or a similar, related degree, that includes programming modules),
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a professional software development team, with detailed experience in .net web applications (framework or core) of any architecture (webforms, MVC, Razor, Blazor server etc) using any .net language (C#, F# or VB.net),
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC),
- Experience with version control systems like Azure DevOps or Git,
- Demonstrated ability to debug, troubleshoot and identify defects,
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal,
- Proven ability to work both independently and in collaborative team environments.
